Rushi Named CCC Offensive Player of the Week

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Klaudia Rushi of the Suffolk women's soccer team picked up CCC Offensive Player of the Week after her two-goal offensive output in the 8-1 triumph over conference rival Nichols Saturday, the league office announced Tuesday.

Rushi, a senior captain from Beverly, Massachusetts, potted two goals over a 25-second span to help pad Suffolk's advantage that ended in a convincing 8-1 win over the Bison in Eastie Saturday. The two-strike output by Rushi matched a career-high.

The forward was also instrumental to Suffolk's non-conference finale, a 0-0 draw with Beantown foe UMass Boston.

The weekly recognition is a first for Rushi in her collegiate career. She is the third-ever Ram to take home the feat, second this season behind Kylie Flynn, who garnered the distinction Sept. 18. Overall this year, Suffolk has three weekly accolades this season. On top of Rushi and Flynn, Avery Porter earned rookie of the week honors Sept. 11.

Suffolk is back in action tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 11 at Western New England at 3:30 p.m.
