Women’s Soccer Stumbles at Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Hartford's offense proved to be too much for Suffolk women's soccer as it slipped to the Hawks, 7-1, Saturday at Al-Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk faced a four-goal deficit as a quartet of Hawks found the back of the net for Hartford.  

Less than 10 minutes out of the locker room, Suffolk broke up the shutout when Chelsea Fallon lofted the ball from the right corner of the box into the left upper part of the net. Klaudia Rushi set up the strike with a drop pass to her teammate.  

Momentum shifted back into the Hawks favor three minutes later as Kathleen Brush potted her second marker of the day. That goal would be followed by two more Hartford tallies for the 7-1 final.  

KEEPING UP WITH THE KEEPERS

  • Arden Ferrari-Henry registered six saves in the first half. 
  • Sophia Barker logged four saves in the second half for Suffolk. 
  • Sejal Johnson recorded on stop in the victory. 

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

  • Fallon was responsible for Suffolk's lone goal. 
  • Rushi tallied the lone assist for the Rams. 
  • Hartford dominated shots, 31-2, and shots on target, 17-2. 
  • The Hawks took all seven corners in the contest.
