Women’s Soccer Soars Past Fisher, 5-0

EAST BOSTON – Eight different Rams produced at least one point to send Suffolk women's soccer past Fisher, 5-0, Tuesday night at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 5 | Fisher 0
RECORDS: Suffolk (6-2-1) | Fisher (3-5-0)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Klaudia Rushi got the offensive onslaught under 13:55 into the affair when the senior captain put away her own rebound. Olivia Leo denied Rushi's first attempt. Luckily for the Ram, she picked up the pieces and capitalized of Leo laying on the turf to put the rock away.

Less than 10 minutes later Isa Pereza doubled the distance. Alyssa Belmont took the ball down the left sideline, dished ahead to Makena Columbus, who dribbled past multiple Falcon defenders and crossed the ball to a diving Pereza. The freshman pulled Leo away from the post and slid the ball into the right lower corner to give Suffolk a 2- lead at the 23:10 mark, which stood at half time.

Daniela Petronio's long shot from the 25-yard line bounced off Leo's gloves. Lily Goldmann beat Fisher's defenders to the ball and found Jazmya Harris wide open in front for a one-timer to extend the edge to three in the 62nd minute.

Goldmann recorded her own goal six minutes later thanks to Mollie Marshall's perfect corner kick set-up.

Suffolk's scoring did not stop there as Charlie Adams knocked in the fifth of the night with 1:12 left in regulation. Molly Knight and the junior worked the ball back-and-forth out from over 20 yards away. Adams saw an opportunity and let it rip at the 20-yard line. The shot was just over the Leo's head for the 5-0 final.
