BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer looks to keep its winning ways going Wednesday, Sept. 20 when it welcomes Lesley to East Boston Memorial Park's James A. Sartori Stadium for a 7 p.m. battle.

LAST TIME OUT
Avery Porter put on the hero hat in the second half scoring the only goal in a Commonwealth Coast Conference affair to send Suffolk women's soccer to a 1-0 victory over Wentworth Friday night under the lights of James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.  

Arden Ferrari-Henry registered a career-high eight saves to preserve the CCC-opening shutout for the Rams, the program's first-time it lifted the lid on its CCC campaign in the win column.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk holds a 4-1-1 overall record, its best mark through six games in program history.  

Avery Porter has a team-best three goals, including two game winners, to sit atop the team in goals (3) and points (6). Makena Columbus has two goals to her credit with Kylie Flynn, who is on a three-game point streak, consistently factoring into the offense with one goal and a squad-best two helpers.   

Arden Ferrari-Henry is the usual keeper for the blue-and-gold. The freshman keeper holds a 0.91 GAA and .808 save percentage with a 4-1-1 mark including two shutouts.

LYNX LOOK
Lesley is 4-1-0 on the year with all five of its contests coming via shutout.  

The Lynx, who are riding a two-game win streak into Wednesday's action, has outscored their foes, 20-13, including 13-0 in the last two contests.  

Abby Kalou has already racked up double digit points with 11 on a team-high in goals (3) and assists (5). Kika Diaz and Haile Carrillo-Hayes have found the back of the net three time apiece as well. Diaz also dished out two helpers, while Carrillo-Hayes has set-up one shot. 

In net, Madison Reed and Lauren Lacy have split time. Reed has yet to give up a goal in her four appearances, three starts. Lacy, meanwhile, holds a 3.00 GAA and .538 save percentage in her three outings, two nods. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk is 1-8-0 all-time against the Lynx in a series that dates back to 2012. 
  • Seven of the nine matches have been determined in shutout fashion, including Suffolk's only win, a 2-0 decision, Sept. 11, 2021.
  • Suffolk has netted six goals all-time against Lesley. 
  • Four of the Rams' six tallies versus the Lynx came on the blue-and-gold's own turf.

EYES ON THE GAME

RAMS RECOGNITION
Kylie Flynn of the Suffolk women's soccer team factored into both of the Rams wins to collect Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors. Flynn finished the 2-0-0 week with one goal and one assist.
