BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer hits the road for the first time in 2023 Tuesday, Sept. 5 when it visits UMass Dartmouth for a 7 p.m. tilt.

A pair of Rams potted unassisted markers to push Suffolk women's soccer to a 2-1 season-opening triumph over Elms Friday at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk started the year in the win column for the first time since 2021 when it defeated Elms, 2-1, Friday, Sept. 1.  

The Rams two goals came off different boots as Chelsea Fallon and Daniela Petronio potted unassisted tallies in the season opener. 

Arden Ferrari-Henry started in net for the blue-and-gold. The freshman turned aside two shots to hold a 1.00 GAA and .667 save percentage through one game.

CORSAIRS CATCHUP
UMass Dartmouth shutout Regis, 1-0, and Salem State, 3-0, over Labor Day weekend to sit 2-0-0 before it welcomes Suffolk for its home opener Tuesday.  

Amanda Thompson has supplied two goals and one assist to the Corsairs four-goal offense. Madison Depina and Bella Medeiros are responsible for the other two UMD strikes. Veronica Bock and Kaitlyn Nguyen round out the players with points with one assist apiece.  

Grace Conti has played every game in net for the Corsairs. Her goals against average and save percentage remains perfect through two games, both shutouts.

The Rams will return the friendly confines of James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, Sept. 9 when they welcome Mass. Maritime to Beantown. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
