BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer takes its talents on the road Saturday, Oct. 22 for a morning match at Gordon. The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest is scheduled for a 10 a.m. first kick.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk looks to snap a two-game skid Saturday that put the team 4-7-3 overall and 1-4-2 versus CCC counterparts.  

The Rams' 15-goal offense has been powered by Klaudia Rushi's 12 points, which came behind a team-best six goals. Delaney Hall is second on the squad with two goals and two assists with Hayley Long's (2g, 1a) five points rounding out the top three.  

In net, Sophia Barker and Maddie Brooke have each seen their fair share of action. Barker has taken on the bulk of the work load with 11 games played in which she built a 1.27 GAA and .813 save percentage. Brooke, meanwhile, has assembled a 1.33 GAA and. 867 save percentage in her three outings. 

FIGHTING SCOTS FACTS
Gordon (7-4-3, 2-3-2 CCC) reentered the win Column Wednesday, Oct. 19 with a 2-1 win at Nichols.  

Sofia Gish and Sarah Sierzenga power the Fighting Scots' 23-goal offense. Gish sits atop the team in points with 16 behind a squad-high eight strikes. Sierzenga's 10-point stat line is split between three goals and four assists.  

Tori Paine is the usual starter in net for Gordon. In her 10 appearances, all starts, she holds a 1.11 GAA and 0.654 save percentage with a pair of shutouts. Emily Bengtson has made the most of her eight outings and holds a 0.51 GAA and .900 save percentage with one cleansheet. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Gordon have met six times since 2011. 
  • The Rams have never beaten the Fighting Scots, 0-6-0.
