HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk worked its way on the score sheet with less than three minutes gone from the scoreboard. Jazmya Harris ofted a long shot towards the Hawks cage. Coco Marrelli made a punch save and fell to the pitch. Hayley Long picked up the rebound and put an attempt on target. RWU's defense came in at just the right time and blocked the shot. The rock hit off the post and fell in front of Klaudia Rushi to easily touch it to the back of the time 2:47 into the game. that was blocked by RWU's defense

Roger Williams responded 1:18 later. Raffaella Brunetti was in the right place at the right time to level the playing field at 1-all. Grace Kelly fired a corner kick and Brunetti made a diving cut to take the pass and turn it into the game-tying goal.

Things remained even for the next 25 minutes before the Hawks gained the advantage. Bianca Robbins beat the blue-and-gold back line for what looked like a one-on-one with Suffolk's goalie Sophia Barker. The Rams defense caught up and charged the ball. When the defense came over to Robbins, she slipped it to Julia Robbins in front of the net, who made a touch past to Sarah Newman on her left. With the defense converged on Bianca Robbins, Newman had an easy touch to score the eventual game-winner.
