Eight Rams Score, Women’s Soccer Handles Fisher, 8-0

EAST BOSTON – Eight different Rams found the back of the net as Suffolk women's soccer put on an 8-0 offensive onslaught of Fisher Thursday night at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 8 | Fisher 0
RECORDS: Suffolk (6-2-0) | Fisher (1-5-0)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Five goals came over the first 45 minutes with the first just 5:19 into the contest. From the left 30-yard like Alex Stamatos sent a cross field pass to Cassandra LaBarbara. The junior dribbled down the pitch to the 10-yard line where she into the lower left of the net.

Four minutes later Hayley Long etched her name down as a Suffolk goal scorer thanks to a set-up by Jazmya Harris. Harris brought the ball deep into a group of Falcon defenders, pulled it back out, slipped it to Long for a loopy one-timer over Isabella Massengale's jumping gloves.

Less than two minutes later Kylie Flynn received a pass from Aislinn Servaes took the rock to the left side of the box and rolled past Massengale into the same side bottom corner to make it a three-goal game.

The scoring didn't stop there as Klaudia Rushi put away a feed from Nicole Morin-Trotta at the 23rd minute and Julia Hunt notched an unassisted tally in the 31st minute. The freshman's and senior's strikes gave the Rams a five-goal cushion at intermission.

A few into the second stanza Chelsea Fallon's goal, which was aided by Morin-Trotta, stretched the distance to six. From the center of the box, a misdirected pass from Morin-Trotta to Fallon, who was on the right, caught the Falcons' defense off guard, which allowed Fallon an open attempt that sailed into the upper half of the right twine.

Things stayed put until there was less than 10 minutes left in regulation. Carley Pearce added a tally at the 81:18-minute mark, before Morin-Trotta managed to put her own goal away 5:20 after Pearce's for the final 8-0 margin.
