BOSTON – Still in search of its first victory this season, the Suffolk women's soccer team heads out on the road Wednesday for a mid-week match at Gordon at 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's soccer team dropped its home opener to William Paterson by a score of 2-0 Saturday afternoon at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

The Pioneers held the final count in shots, 19-6, with Kirsten Weiker making eight saves, while Kat Clint recorded four saves in the shutout. The Pioneers also held a slim advantage in corners, 6-4. Jennifer Martin had three shots for the Rams.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk  enters Wednesday 0-2  after falling at WPI (7-2) in its first game of the season and being swept by William Paterson (2-0) in its home opener.

The Rams are led on the attack by sophomores Jessica Harmon and Alexandra Nagri, who each have one goal to their credit this season. Jennifer Martin dished out an assist on Harmon's goal and leads the team in shots with five including three on target.

In goal stands first-year Kirsten Weiker, who in two games, has allowed seven scores, but has made 17 saves for a .667 save percentage.

FACTS ON THE FIGHTING SCOTS
Similar to Suffolk, Gordon is still searching for its first victory of 2015, however, both of the Fighting Scots' games have gone into extra sessions. In its season opener, Gordon dropped a 2-1 decision to Maine Maritime, before losing to Emerson by an identical score in its home opener.

Kaleyn Silveria and Jamie Breton each have found the back of the net this season for the Scots, while Asha Steele and Tori Caswell handed out assists.

Gordon's keeper, McKenzie Dion, has been busy this season, seeing over 190 minutes of action in just two games, accumulating 16 saves and allowing four goals. 

#RAMSFANFEST
Suffolk fans are invited to be a part of history Saturday, Sept. 12 as the Rams host their first soccer doubleheader at its new home turf, East Boston Memorial Park. The first Rams Fan Fest kicks off with a celebratory ceremony of Suffolk's partnership with East Boston before the women's soccer team hosts Lasell at 1:45 p.m., followed by the men's team battling Mount Ida at 4:30 p.m. The event begins at 12:30 p.m.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Rams return to the confines of James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park Saturday afternoon to open its conference slate against Lasell at 1:45 p.m.
