Brouillette Makes 10 Saves in Women's Soccer Setback

The Emmanuel College Saints topped the Suffolk University Women's Soccer team in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday afternoon at Dilboy Stadium in Somerville.

Emmanuel used a pair of first half goals that came eighty-five seconds apart to pick up their third victory of the season, and first in conference play on the year.

Sophomore Hannah Konicki (Milford, Conn.) knocked in her second goal of the season in the game's nineteenth minute as she took a feed from senior Kelsie Dumas (Dalton, Mass.) which led her right in front of the net for the game's first strike.

A little over a minute later the Saints would strike again as Dumas created a takeaway in front of the net and put home her second tally of the year for the 2-0 edge.

Emmanuel managed to put out 19 shots in the game while Suffolk put together a nine shot total in the contest.

Senior Melissa Brouillette (Shelton, Conn.) made 10 saves in the contest for Suffolk, who fall to a 1-3 record on the season.

Both teams will be in non-conference action later this week. Emmanuel will travel to Babson College on Tuesday for a 4:00pm matchup with the Beavers. Suffolk will host Emerson College at 8:00pm on Tuesday at Dilboy Stadium.
