EAST BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey slipped to Curry, 1-0, Saturday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference play at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Hannah Berkowitz chipped Curry on the scoreboard on the power play at the 7:48 mark of the second period. She scooped up the rebound from Danielle Reid's shot and tucked it away to give the Colonels a one-goal edge in the middle period.  

Suffolk could not figure out Curry's netminder Sarah Kerr, who turned aside all the Rams 19 attempts over the final 20 minutes for a chance to tie things up.  

NETMINDER NOTES

• Lily O'Neil had 34 saves to her credit. 
• Kerr finished with 50 stops in the shutout.  

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

• Suffolk overshot the Colonels, 50-35. 
• The Rams won the face off battle, 33-26. 
• The Colonels lone goal of the night came on the power play. 
• Suffolk's defense backed up O'Neil with 11 blocked shots.

• There have been two shutouts in the all-time series between Suffolk and Curry, the last two games.
