Conn. College Shutouts Women’s Hockey

EAST BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey capped off its first semester non-conference calendar with a 3-0 setback to Connecticut College Friday night at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 0 | Conn. College 3
RECORDS: Suffolk (3-9-1) | Conn. College (4-3-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Conn. College charged on the scoreboard 9:45 into the second period. Kiley Smith's shot from the point chipped off Casey Chenser's stick and flew by Izzy Buckett between the Rams posts to break open a scoreless game and give the Camels the go-ahead. Kate Hagness helped set-up the goal with a back-and-forth pass at the blue line with Smith.

Chenser put away her second puck of the day 7:10 into the third period to pad the Camels advantage to a pair. The sophomore picked up the puck off a face off won by Charlotte Harris in the right face-off dot and fired opposite side to make it a 2-0 game.

Suffolk pulled Buckett from the net with 2:50 left on the clock in the hopes of cracking onto the board. Claire Sammons stole the puck in the neutral zone and zoomed towards the empty net for an easy strike that lengthened the Camels' lead to 3-0 where it remained at the end of regulation.
