BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey turns its attention to a Commonwealth Coast Conference series with Nichols this weekend. The Rams will head to Harrisville, Rhode Island, Friday, Nov. 10 to get the series going at 5:40 p.m., before hosting the Bison in a Mental Health Awareness Game Saturday, Nov. 11 at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Rink at 4:50 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's hockey faced a three-goal deficit in the third period, mounted a comeback, but ran out of time to ultimately slip to the Seahawks of Salve Regina, 4-3, in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at St. George's Rink Saturday night.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is in search of its first victory of the season as it sits 0-4-0 overall and 0-2-0 in CCC contests.

Jenna Caballero and Liliana Moose are the only Rams skaters with multiple points on their stat lines with two apiece. Caballero has a pair of assists to her credit, while Moose has one goal and one helper to her credit.  

Izzy Buckett has seen the most time in net with three games played, all starts. She holds a 3.78 GAA and .869 save percentage. Lily O'Neil (6.00 GAA, .829 save%) has one game under her belt, the season debut versus then-No. 13 Utica. 

BISON BREAKDOWN
Nichols rattled off three wins in a row before falling to No. 15 Endicott, 3-1, last Saturday, Nov. 4 to hold a 3-1-0 overall ledger and 1-1-0 CCC record.  

Emma Jaskova tops the team in points with four all behind goals, including one game winner. Grace Wiggett and Avery Moriarty share second on the squad with three points apiece. Wiggett has scored two goals and dished out one assist, while Moriarty has set-up three scores.  

In net, McKenzie Muri has started all four games. She holds a 1.75 GAA and .946 save percentage.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk holds a 7-2-1 all-time record against Nichols. 
  • The Rams are unbeaten in the last eight meetings with the Bison. That streak features seven wins in a row for the blue-and-gold including the last meeting, a 3-2 overtime decision, Feb. 4, 2023.
  • At home, Suffolk boasts a 4-1-1 record versus the Bison. 
  • On the road, the Rams are 3-1-0 against Nichols. 
  • Suffolk has yet to fall to Nichols in a CCC contest, 7-0-0.

The Rams are in store for a home-and-home series with No. 15 Endicott next weekend, Nov. 17-18. Suffolk takes the trip to Beverly Friday for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop before hosting the Gulls at Porrazzo Rink in a Thanksgiving prep puck drop Saturday at 4:50 p.m.
