HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk chased one goal as Asher Printzen's put an assisted strike away for the Colonels 13:59 into the first frame. Shana Cote evened the playing field 3:24 later as the senior potted a power play puck to make it a 1-all game. Jesse Kennedy and Sofia Scilipoti assisted on the senior's goal that helped sent the teams into the first intermission even at one apiece.

It was all blue-and-gold in the middle period as the Rams ran up a 3-1 advantage. Maddy Burton put away the go-ahead strike at the 5:55 minute mark. Leslie Steiner and Kennedy aided to the eventual game-winner. Cassidy Gruning tacked on insurance on the man-up opportunity with 30 seconds left on the clock before the team's headed into the locker room for the second time.

Curry attempted to play catchup in the third. Sammy Lassman's power play sliced the margin back to one with 7:19 left in regulation.
