BOSTON – Suffolk women's golf treks to the Empire State this weekend for the Cortland Martin/Wallace Invitational at the Cortland Country Club. The Rams will tee off on Saturday, April 13 at 11:44 a.m. with action on Sunday, April 14 scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's golf got its 2024 spring slate underway at the three-day Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Golf Championship over the weekend at the Paradise Point Golf Course on the Marine Corps Base in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

THE FIELD
Sixteen teams will be represented on the Cortland Country Club course including the host SUNY Cortland and Suffolk. Hamilton, Ithaca, Amherst, Williams, NYU, Wesleyan, Middlebury, Fisher, SUNY Geneseo, LE Moyne, Nazareth, Saint Lawrence, Union and SUNY Canton will have student-athletes competing as well.  

CORTLAND COUNTRY CLUB
The Cortland Club is a par 72 course on meticulously groomed greens and fairways, bunkers on 17 holes and championship tee boxes to challenge golfers of any skill level.

SUFFOLK AT THE CORTLAND MARTIN/WALLACE INVITATIONAL
A year ago, Suffolk won the Martin Division at the two-day Martin/Wallace Invitational hosted by SUNY Cortland at the Cortland Country Club. 

Ellie Yarbrough was the individual runner-up a year ago with a 163. Isabel Smith (170) and Sophie Kiley (176) have competed at the Cortland Country Club as well and took third and fourth, respectively. 

The 18-hole low for a Ram on the course in Cortland, New York, was an 81 shot by Yarbrough on day one of last season's event.

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
Suffolk takes next weekend off to prep for the Northeast Women's Golf Championships, which is on tap April 27-18 at the Edison Country Club in Rexford, New York.
