Women’s Golf to Participate in Pair of NWGC Events this Weekend

BOSTON – Suffolk women's golf and its Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) counterparts are set to meet in Westfield, Massachusetts for two one-day events.  at the Shaker Farms Country Club. Saturday, Sept. 30 will serve as the NWGC Fall Classic at the Shaker Farms Country Club with Sunday, Oct. 1's action dubbed as the NWGC Fall Invitational at the Tekoa Country Club.

LAST TIME OUT
Brooke Bugajewski made history as the first Ram in Suffolk women's golf history to produce a hole-in-one Saturday at the Keene Country Club where the blue-and-gold defeated Keene State in dual action 336-467.

THE COURSES
Shaker Farms Country Club is posted at 5,900 yards, par 72, from the gold tees, while Tekoa Country Club is a 5,597-yard, par-71 course of the gold tees.  

THE COMPETITION
Along with the Rams, nine members of the NWGC will tangle in Western Massachusetts in Canton, SUNY Colbeskill, Husson, SUNY Geneseo, Keuka, Mt. St. Mary's, Nazareth, Westfield State and Utica.  

RAMS RECOGNITION
After claiming last week's rookie honors, Suffolk women's golf freshman Brooke Bugajewski was selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced late Tuesday night.

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
The Rams head up to Brunswick, Maine Saturday, Oct. 7 for a dual match against Husson at the Brunswick Golf Club.
