Women’s Golf 2022 Spring Schedule Set

2021-22 SUFFOLK WOMEN'S GOLF SCHEDULE

BOSTON – After a successful 2021 fall slate that was highlighted by the capturing the 2021 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship, the Suffolk women's golf team looks to carry that momentum into the 202 spring portion of its schedule, which features two events head coach Jay Parker announced Wednesday morning.

Suffolk's spring starts at its own event, the Suffolk Invite, Saturday, April 9. The blue-and-gold will battle Husson, Westfield State and Worcester State at the Wintonbury Hills Golf Club in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The Rams will put on their hosting hats for just the fourth time in program history, first since a head-to-head battle with Rhode Island College, April 19 2019. The quad-meet will be the largest meet and first-ever invite that Suffolk will put on in the program's six-year history.

From there, the Rams turn their attention to a championship course, as they make the trip to Voorheesville, New York, for the 2022 Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) Championship, April 23-24. The league tournament was originally scheduled for Oct. 2-3, 2021, but Suffolk had to wait until the spring to try to reclaim the crown after taking home the inaugural banner in 2019 and finishing as the runner-up in the one-day tournament in 2020.
