Women’s Golf Defeats Westfield State, 355-455

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Suffolk women's golf took down Westfield State, 355-455, in a head-to-head match at Shakers Farm Country Club Sunday afternoon. 

The Rams combined card of 355 was +67 and 100 strokes better than the Owls. Suffolk student-athletes took the first five spots in the individual standings. With the win, Suffolk remains unbeaten (2-0) in dual matches against Westfield State all-time. 

Sophomore Ellie Yarbrough led the way with an 84 (+12), while her classmate Paige Irving was four strokes behind her. Isabel Smith logged a 90, while Madison Scheinberg and Sophie Kiley shot a 93 and 94, respectively.  

Suffolk now has a week to prepare for the NEIGA Championships, which are scheduled to tee off Oct. 16 at the Captains Golf Course.
