BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball returns to the Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court Saturday, Jan. 21 for a matinee with Commonwealth Coast Conference rival Endicott. Tip-off between the Rams and Gulls is scheduled for 12 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's basketball put up a huge first half, however, it would not be enough to defeat the University of New England, who came back to defeat the Rams, 86-73, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Wednesday night at Coach Beaudry's Court.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk moved to 9-7 on the season and 4-5 in CCC action after fall to at Gordon (68-56) and the University of New England (86-73).  

Amanda DeAngelis continues to lead the Rams on both ends of the hardwood with 17.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. Maddie Stewart (10.4 ppg, 8.6 rpg) and Katie Kirsch (9.7 ppg, 6.6 rpg) are consistent threats offensively and defensively as well, while Colby Guinta provides 11.1 points per game to the blue-and-gold's 64.9 points per game scoring. 

GET TO KNOW THE GULLS
Endicott has slipped in back-to-back outings as well, a 63-43 setback to Roger Williams and a 63-42 loss at Curry, to bring a 6-10 overall mark and 4-5 CCC ledger to Boston. 

Tara Laugeni paces the Gulls' 59.5 points per game scoring with 14.5 ppg herself. Sarah Dempsey and Emily St. Thomas supply 13.6 ppg and 10.0 ppg, respectively.  

Dempsey and Laugeni are the top threats on the glass. The former pulls down 8.6 rpg and the latter grabs 7.0 rpg to anchor the team's 40.5 rpg effort.  

WE MEET AGAIN
The trio of Amanda DeAngelisKatie Kirsch and Maddie Stewart all logged double-doubles to lead Suffolk women's basketball past Endicott in Commonwealth Coast Conference action, 80-65, Saturday, Dec. 3 afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk sits 14-16 all-time against Endicott in a series that dates back to 1993-94. 
  • The Rams have defeated the Gulls in back-to-back meetings including an 80-65 win in Beverly, Massachusetts earlier this season. 
  • In Boston, the series is even at seven wins apiece. 
  • In Beverly, the Rams are 6-10 against the Gulls
  • Suffolk and Endicott have met at a neutral site once, Nov. 17, 2018. Suffolk won that venture in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, 68-57

  • The Rams are 1-2 in OT outings against Endicott.
