BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball makes the trip to Biddeford, Maine, tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 18 for a 5:30 p.m. Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) clash at the University of New England.

Suffolk women's basketball could not overcome a 21-plus point half-time deficit despite its comeback attempts in the second stanza as Gordon held off the Rams in a Commonwealth Coast Conference affair, 68-56, Saturday afternoon at Kanas Court.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk carries a 9-6 overall record and 4-4 CCC mark into Vacation Land.  

Amanda DeAngelis continues to lead the Rams on offense and defense by averaging a 16.7-point, 10.5-rebound double-double. Colby Guinta and Maddie Stewart add double figures to the team's 64.3 ppg offense as well with 11.5 ppg and 10.2 ppg, respectively. Stewart sits second on the team in rebounds with 8.6 caroms per outing to her credit, while Katie Kirsch, who adds 9.5 ppg, grabs 7.0 rpg.  

NOR'EASTER NOTES
UNE saw its three-game win streak come to an end Saturday as the Nor'Easters fell to Salve Regina, 60-45, to move to 10-5 on the year and 6-2 in CCC contests.  

The trio of Keagan Dunbar (13.2), Jordyn Franzen (11.4) and Kaylee Beyor (10.4) lead UNE's 66.0 points per game offense.  

That same threesome is the main force for the Nor'Easters on the glass. Beyor's 7.1 rpg leads the way with Franzen's 6.5 rpg good for second and Dunbar's 5.9 rpg rounding out the top rebounders. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk is 0-2 all-time against the University of New England in a series that began a year ago. 
  • The series has been split between home (0-1) and road (0-1) bouts.
