HOW IT HAPPENED
The Fighting Scots flew out to a 20-7 lead after the first 10 minutes that turned into a 34-13 half-time advantage.

Suffolk came out of the locker room determined to make it a ball game, however, Gordon went up 40-15, in the first 2:14 to force the blue-and-gold into a deeper deficit.

The Rams managed to get the margin down to 11, 49-38, with 55 seconds left in the third quarter, but a layup by Madison Wynbeek for the Fighting Scots made it a 51-38 as the game headed to the fourth frame.

The blue-and-gold continued to claw back into things and chipped down the distance to seven, 60-53, with 3:12 remaining in regulation.

Wynbeek converted a traditional 3-point play and a lay-up on Gordon's next possession to regain a comfortable cushion for the host, 65-53, with 1:05 left on the clock.

Suffolk gambled by sending the Fighting Scots to the charity stripe. Gordon took care of business at the free throw line to go on and take the conference contest, 68-56.
