BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball begins a four-game home stay Thursday, Jan. 5 when it welcomes Nichols to Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court for a 5:30 p.m. Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) match.

Suffolk women's basketball started its second semester in the win column as the Rams held off a Wentworth comeback to take a 55-50 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) decision over the Leopards Tuesday night at Tansey Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk moved to 6-4 on the season and leveled its CCC mark at 2-2 after defeating Wentworth, 55-50, in its second semester debut Tuesday.  

The Rams' 64.3 points per game offense and 44.1 rebounds per game defense is led by Amanda DeAngelis, who averages a double-double of 16.5 ppg and 10.6 rpg. Colby Guinta and Maddie Stewart add 12.1 ppg and 11.5 ppg, respectively, while Katie Kirsch supplies 8.2 rpg. 

BISON BREAKDOWN
Nichols brings a 2-7 overall record and 1-3 CCC ledger into Thursday's tangle. The Bison have fallen in back-to-back outings including its second semester opener, an 86-44 setback against Western New England.  

Abrianna Vazquez powers Nichols' scoring with an impressive 21.2 points per game. Kiera Fernandes adds 15.3 ppg and Leandra Ortiz is on the verge of double figures with 9.8 ppg to her credit. That threesome is responsible for 65.5 percent of the Bison's 70.7 points per game offense. 

Defensively, Fernandes' 5.4 rpg paces the pack with Erin Cann and Alyvia Smith pitching in 4.9 rpg and 4.1 rpg, respectively. 

INSIDE THE SERIES
