HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk fell behind 5-2 before the Rams ran off nine straight to gain an 11-7 lead with 4:28 to go in the first. The teams traded points over the final four minutes of the opening quarter, which allowed the blue-and-gold to hang onto the advantage, 18-10.

The Rams rattled off an 8-2 stretch to get the second stanza going. That spurt pushed the margin to 14, 26-12, two minutes into the quarter. That distance would grow to as many 18, 34-16, when Amanda DeAngelis converted a lay-up with 2:27 remaining on the clock in the first half. Wentworth went on to score the final four points of the quarter to trim Suffolk's edge back to 14, 34-20, as the teams headed to the locker rooms.

Suffolk commanded the third quarter. The Rams not only maintained their 14-point cushion, but built it to 18, 52-34, at the end of 30 minutes of action.

The damage wasn't done there as the Rams really put on a show in the fourth, outscoring the Leopards, 24-7, for the final 76-41 triumph.
