BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball takes the short trip across town Wednesday, Feb. 2 for a CCC matchup with Wentworth. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.

Behind a well-balanced effort with all 10 Rams who took the hardwood at Tansey Gymnasium pitching in a point, Suffolk women's basketball logged a 76-41 victory over Wentworth Wednesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk defeated Gordon in back-to-back meetings to improve to 12-5 on the year and 6-4 in CCC play. 

The Rams are putting in 69.9 ppg paced by Jenni-Rose DiCecco's 14.6 ppg. The floor general supplies 5.1 apg to the offense as well that sees 10.8 ppg from Amanda DeAngelis.
DeAngelis paves the path on the boards with 7.2 rpg to anchor the blue-and-gold's 47.4 rpg. Emily Welling adds 6.9 rpg to the team's effort.

LEOPARDS LOOK
Wentworth slipped to Salve Regina, 61-43, Monday night to dip to 3-13 on the season and 1-0 in CCC action. 

The Leopards score just 44.6 ppg with Maddy Foster the only play averaging double-digits with 10.5 ppg. Kayla Kelley and Nattaly David are consistent contributors to the scoring unit with 9.3 ppg and 8.8 ppg, respectively.

Foster is a force on the defensive end with the freshman forward leading the way on the boards as well with 6.9 rpg. Abrianna Busbey's 5.3 rpg are good for second on the squad.

  • Suffolk holds a commanding 24-9 lead over Wentworth in the all-time series, which dates back to 1986.
