DeAngelis Sweeps CCC Weekly Awards, Again

CCC RELEASE

BIDDEFORD, Maine – For the second time this season, Amanda DeAngelis of the Suffolk women's basketball team garnered both Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly honors as the sophomore secured both player and rookie of the weekly status, the league office unveiled Monday afternoon.

The accolades come after DeAngelis powered the Rams to a 76-44 win over Gordon Tuesday, Jan. 25. The Londonderry, New Hampshire local was an all-around contributor to Suffolk's CCC victory as she racked up stats in a number of statistical categories with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists. She added two steals and one block on the defensive end. She put together this stat line, which featured a 7-for-10 showing from the field, in just 14 minutes off the bench.

DeAngelis swept the conference's weekly honors for the second time this season with her career-first nods of player and rookie of the week, respectively, dating back to Jan. 10, 2022. She is responsible for four of the Rams' five weekly distinctions this season as Jenni-Rose DiCecco earned the best player over a seven-day stretch Nov. 29, 2021.

DeAngelis and the blue-and-gold will be back in action tonight, Monday, Jan. 31 at Gordon at 5:30 p.m.
