BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball stops by Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court Wednesday, Nov. 17 for a midweek clash with Colby Sawyer at 7 p.m.

SUFFOLK ATHLETICS 2021-22 FAN POLICY
Suffolk University Athletics, following guidance from the University's health and safety protocols, Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Centers for Disease Control and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, plans to allow fans to attend home athletic contests during the 2021-22 academic and athletic year.

Fans, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, can attend games. They must be masked the entire time they are on campus, pursuant to institutional policy, and complete a health screening form at the security desk of each building upon arrival. This policy applies to home contests played on campus at the Ridgeway Building's Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, as well as the Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink and the Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

For outdoor outings, specifically at East Boston Memorial Park, fans are asked to respect COVID safety protocols. At this time, masks will not be mandated for fans no matter vaccinated status at outdoor venues.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's basketball outscored the Vikings, 53-38, in the second half to take down Salem State, 81-65, Monday night at Twohig Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk returned to the win column Monday night with an 81-65 decision at Salem State to move to 2-1 on the year. 

Emily Welling has been a power on both ends of the floor and brings in a team-best 13.0 rpg to go along with 8.7 ppg. Her offensive output is fifth-best on the squad as four players average double figures in Allie Lopes (12.0), Jenni-Rose DiCecco (11.0), Natalie Fraioli (11.0) and Maddie Stewart (10.0). Gabriella DeComo adds to the scoring as well with 8.7 ppg.

Fraioli is behind Welling on the boards with 8.0 rpg of her own. The senior twosome lead the Rams' 53.0 rpg effort. As a team, Suffolk is outrebounding its foes by 15.3 caroms per outing.

CHARGERS CATCH UP
Colby Sawyer is 0-1 on the year after falling to Northern Vermont, 73-46, in its season debut Wednesday, Nov. 10. 

Marissa Holt sparked the Chargers offense game one with 12 points on a 5-for-10 night from the floor, however, she racked up a third (11) of CSC's 33 turnovers in the opening outing of the year.  Gabby Lucertini supplied an eight-point, four-rebound, five-assist performance, while Lia Raynowska and Megan Molettierri each had seven points to their credit. Ameesah Cotton, who scored six points, grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Colby Sawyer will meet for the 25th time Wednesday.
  • The Rams are 8-16 all-time against the Chargers in a series that started in 1993-94.
  • In Boston, Suffolk is 5-11 versus CSC.

RAM OF THE WEEK
Natalie Fraioli scooped up 41.2 percent of the 68 total votes to grab the honor for the first time this season, third time in her career. The accolade comes on the heels of a 1-1 week for the Suffolk women's basketball team in which the senior contributed 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
