Ashley Zulla's Student-Athlete Profile

Ashley Zulla traded in her blue-and-gold jersey for a whistle as the long-time Ram returned to her alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach as part of Janet Maguire’s staff for her first season in 2022.

Zulla, who graduated in 2021 with a Bachelors of Arts in Interior Design, left a mark on the program. Over five seasons, 157 games played, the left-handed hitter scattered her name throughout the top-10 in nearly every offensive category. Of her 188 career hits, 44 were good for two bags, one shy of tying the Rams’ all-time record. The native of Columbus, New Jersey, sent 20 balls out of the park, good for the third-most dingers by a Suffolk student-athlete in the program annals. The three-year captain scored eclipsed the 100 mark in both runs scored (105) and RBI (103) thanks to a career slash-line of .382/.424/602.

As a senior in 2021, she became just the fourth Ram in program history to receive an all-league award in each of their four years in a Suffolk jersey with a spot on the All-CCC second team. Her resume also includes three All-GNAC nods, one second-team selection and a pair of third-team honors.
