BOSTON – Suffolk softball has a hectic three-day span with three consecutive double features. The Rams have trips to Nichols (April 13) and the University of New England (April 15) wrapped around a home bout against Gordon (April 14).

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk softball needed extra time to do it, but managed to split the cross city double feature Emmanuel as the Rams took game two, 6-4, in eight-innings at Clemente Field Wednesday night.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk split a cross city doubleheader at Emmanuel Wednesday to hold a 12-12 overall record. In CCC contests, the Rams are 3-1 after splitting a two-game series at Western New England and sweeping Curry.  

Julia Mills has a team-best 30 hits and 19 RBI with 11 runs scored to her credit. Ella Turnbull has brought in a squad-high 20 runs off 22 hits. Maddie Southers has supplied 22 hits as well with scored a team-high 24 times. Lily Gustafson (25 H, 11 RBI, 22 R) and Catherine Carignan (23 H, 12 RBI, 12 R) are offensive threats for the blue-and-gold as well.  

Suffolk's staff has combined for a 4.36 ERA. Cynthia Rucinski (4.37 ERA, 57.2 IP, 43 Ks), and Lily Newhall (3.23 ERA, 56.1 IP, 23 Ks) are the usual starters for the Rams in the circle.  

BISON BREAKDOWN
Nichols (10-10, 4-2 CCC) snapped a three-game skid with a 5-4 game two win at Rhode Island College Wednesday.  

Chloe Steiniger has provided 16 hits, 14 RBI and seven runs. Erin Gour has added 17 hits, 12 RBI and 16 runs and Allie Slliman rounds out the top trio at the dish for the Bison with 19 hits, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored. Kyla Felicani has also brought in 11 runs on 13 hits to go along with six runs scored. 

Four different twirlers have taken the rubber for Nichols this season with a duo serving as the usual pitching suspects. Chelsea Indyk has the most innings under her belt with 68.1 innings. She holds a 2.25 ERA with 58 strikeouts. Olivia Pedro is the usual other starter for the Bison with 42.1 innings and 16 punchouts.

Gordon was swept by Nichols and Endicott to bring a 7-17 overall record and 2-4 CCC record into the weekend, that starts at Wentworth Saturday, April 13.  

Emily Peterson holds a powerful bat with 32 hits, but its Ami Rivera that is responsible for 22 RBI on 26 hits. Emily Graham (21 H, 15 RBI, 7 R) and Isabella Rivera (24 H, 17 RBI, 19 R) are consistent contributors to the Fighting Scots offense.  

Graham (71.0 IP, 30 Ks, 3.45 ERA) Sierra Ricci (50.2 IP, 32 Ks, 2.62 ERA) and Morgan Possolo (28.0 IP, 8 Ks, 6.50 ERA) have served as the primary pitchers for Gordon this year.

NOR'EASTER NOTES
UNE was swept by Bowdoin Wednesday to land 5-15 on the season. The Nor'Easters hold a 1-3 league ledger. The University of New England has a full weekend docket before hosting Suffolk with twinbills against Curry and Hartford.  

Emma Michaud and Hannah Irons have each produced 21 hits thus far this season. Michaud is the only player to bring in double-digit runs with 14. Irons, meanwhile, has scored a team-high 13.  

The Nor'Easters use three hurlers in the circle in Mo Kinsella (4.89 ERA, 53.0 IP, 34 K), Liv Arvidson (7.00 ERA, 29.0 IP, 10 K) and Kara MacDonald (8.94 ERA, 36.0 IP, 7 K).
