BOSTON – Suffolk softball returns to the friendly confines of East Boston Memorial Park Friday, April 7 for a Commonwealth Coast Conference double feature with the University of New England. Game one is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk softball dropped its nightcap at in Wenham, Massachusetts, as Gordon ran past the Rams, 16-1, in five-innings in Commonwealth Coast Conference action.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has split its last two CCC doubleheaders to head into Friday's action 3-12 overall and 2-2 in league play. 

Ava Brandow's bat has been a consistent contributor to the Rams' 49-run offense with a team-best nine RBI behind 14 hits to go along with three runs scored. Savannah Scripter, meanwhile, has a squad-high 19 hits on a .422 connection rate at the plate with six RBI. Maddie Southers has also brought in six runs with 13 hits to her credit and five runs scored. 

In the circle, Ella Turnbull boasts the best numbers with a 6.27 ERA through 22.1 innings and 16 strikeouts. Brandow has seen the most time, 35.1 innings over nine apperances, five starts, and fanned the most batters, 23. Ashlyn Conley is a go-to for the Rams on the rubber as well with 20.2 innings of work under her belt and six punchouts. 

NOR'EASTER NOTES
UNE was sept at Wentworth Sunday, April 2 to move to 3-15 on the year and 0-2 in CCC play. Prior to heading to Boston Friday, the Nor'Easters will host Salve Regina Thursday, April 6.

Abby Miner has been the heaviest hitter for UNE with 20 hits and 14 RBI behind a .385/.448/.654 slash line. Maknezy Herron (14 H, 2 RBI, 9 R) and Grace Tutt (13 H, 5 RBI, 6 R) have surpassed double-digit hits as well.

The Nor'Easters have four twirlers, three they use consistently: Cat Higgins (3.84 ERA, 27.1 IP, 14 K), Kara MacDonald (7.00 ERA, 34.0 IP, 6 K) and Mia Micucci (9.37 ERA, 40.1 IP, 19 K).
