RAMS RUNDOWN
After splitting its non-conference clash with Roger Williams Saturday, Suffolk sits 11-16 on the year.

A foursome has been powerfully productive at the plate this season. Lead-off batter Caitlin Murphy is one of the top with 34 hits, which is tied for top of the team with Ashley Zulla, to go along with team-best numbers in runs scored and stolen bases with 30 and 22, respectively. Zulla, meanwhile, paces the team in RBI with 25 and has scored 25 times herself. Ally Cifaratta (33H, 20 RBI, 20 R) and Savannah Scripter (29 H, 18 RBI, 11 R) are consistent contributors offensively as well.

Constance Phelan will continue to be the Rams go-to twirler for the remainder of the year. The senior RHP holds a 3.22 ERA over 87.0 innings pitched with 45 strikeouts to her credit.

HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT THE HAWKS
Roger Williams moved to 16-14 on the season after taking game two away from Suffolk Saturday.

The Hawks have received 30-plus hits from both Katrina Goria and Sydney Provencal. Goria has 36 hits for 24 RBi and 21 runs scored, while Provencal has recorded 32 hits, 12 RBI and 23 runs scored.

RWU cycles through five different hurlers. Ellie Fleming has proven to be the Hawks top arm with a 3.28 ERA over 53.1 innings with 26 strikeouts. Lisa Nocella, meanwhile, has worked the most frames with 70.0 innings under her belt in which she assembled a 3.60 ERA with 61 punchouts.

RAM OF THE WEEK
Ram of the Week's eighth edition of 2021 saw 116 members of Ram Nation vote via Twitter Poll between four standout student-athletes.

Hailey Cockroft of Suffolk softball picked up the recognition. The senior captain secured 41 percent of the 116 votes cast to take home the weekly accolade. The honor comes on the heels of a seven-hit, four-RBI, one-run scored effort behind a .368/.400/.421 slash line for the second baseman.
