LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk softball hit early and often to gain an advantage it never let go of to defeat Gordon, 10-4, in the nightcap of a CCC doubleheader Wednesday night at the Fighting Scots Softball Field.

RAMS RUNDOWN
After splitting its twinbill at Gordon, Suffolk takes a 5-7 overall record and 3-1 league ledger into the series with Endicott.

Five different bats have eclipsed the double-digit hit mark paced by Ashley Zulla's 18. The senior catcher leads the team in RBI as well with 18 to go along with 10 runs scored, good for a share of second on the squad. Caitlin Murphy has scored a team-best 15 times and sniped 10 bags, also a top team number. The junior outfielder has provided 15 hits along with Ally Cifaratta, who has chipped in 13 RBI and 10 runs scored.

In the circle, Constance Phelan and Kennedy Reyes are Suffolk's starters. Phelan brings in a 2.68 ERA with 19 Ks over 31.1 innings, while Reyes holds a 2.81 ERA and has scattered 31 strikeouts over 37.1 innings. Leina Belog has been the Rams reliever. The sophomore has sat down 15 hitters in 8.1 innings of work.

GET TO KNOW THE GULLS
Endicott has had its first scheduled eight contests of the 2021 cancelled, which makes the series with Suffolk its first outings since May 11, 2019. The Gulls missed all of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lauren Misiaszek and Adrianna Favreau are the experienced heavy hitters for Endicott, a team that has 25 players, but just 10 who have competed at the collegiate level, nine with the Gulls and graduate transfer, infielder Katie Terban. Terban had a three-year career at Saint Michael's College where she had 18 hits and seven RBI in 53 games played.

In 2019, Misiaszek barreled 58 hits including 15 doubles, for 40 RBI and 26 runs scored. Favreau, meanwhile, had 43 knocks, 31 RBI and 30 runs scored. The former stole six bases, while the latter sniped five.

In the circle, Michaela Hamill is the only starter back in the Gulls' rotation. In 14 appearances, 12 starts, she compiled a 10-2 record with a 1.94 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 75.2 innings. Molly O'Neill is also back on the staff after limited time two years ago.
