USTFCCCA RELEASE

NEW ORLEANS – Suffolk men's cross country appeared ninth in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings, its fourth straight feature on the weekly poll this season.

The Rams made a program debut in the regional ranks Sept. 14 in eighth, where it stayed for three straight weeks before dipping to ninth in the Oct. 5 edition of the poll.

The USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Coaches' Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning teams' strengths with current season results, when applicable, in determining in a rank-order of squad potential. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible to receive a ranking. The weekly regional ranking by the USTFCCCA began in 2010.

Suffolk is on a rest week that will prep the blue-and-gold for its own meet, the Suffolk Invite, on tap for Saturday, Oct. 16 at Franklin Park. The event will also serve as the Battle for Boston Common, a head-to-head meet between the Rams and their Beantown neighbor Emerson.
