HOOSKSETT, N.H. – Michael Balestra represented the Suffolk men's outdoor track & field team at the Penmen Relays in winning fashion Saturday at Penmen Stadium. 

The senior captain, from Lincoln, Rhode Island, won the hammer throw with a 50.26-meter heave. That toss not only was the best in the 22-competitior field in the Granite State Saturday, but is the third-best performance by a student-athlete in the NCAA Division III East region this season.  

Balestra and the Rams have one more tune-up before the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships, next weekend's Sean Collier Invitational at MIT Saturday, April 23.
