Indoor Track & Field Sends Rams to New England D3 Regional Championships

BOSTON – Suffolk men's and women's indoor track & field will be represented in a dozen events at this weekends' New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Track at New Balance Sunday, Feb. 25.

RAMS AT REGIONALS

  • Five women across six events are set to compete; Emily Concepcion (400), Sydney Fogg (1,000), Amanda Walden (60 & 400), Devyn Battistoni (pole vault) and JJ Conteh (60). 
  • Battistoni is the first Suffolk vaulter, male or female, to qualify. 
  • A quarter of Rams men are set to race as well in Thomas Novy (3k), Tim Barry (800), Luke Sikora (1K) and Carter Nevulis (hurdles).
  • Battistoni, Fogg, Sikora and Nevulis will all compete at regionals for the first time in their careers. 
  • Both teams are sending their 4x400 relay squads with the men also being represented by a 4x800 relay team.

"Qualifying of the meet is a major accomplishment, and we have one of the largest and most competitive groups of athletes in program history going," head coach Will Feldman said. "We're extremely proud of the work these athletes have put in this season to get here."

Rams that qualified will compete at the NEICAAA Championships March 1-2 at the Track at New Balance.
