Indoor Track & Field Announces 2022-23 Slate

BOSTON – Suffolk men's and women's indoor track & field has a full fourth varsity campaign as head coach Will Feldman has unveiled the full 2022-23 scheduled that features 10 meets in addition to four postseason events over four months.  

Opening weekend is five days away and features the Rams first-ever hosted indoor event, the Suffolk Relays, Saturday, Dec. 3. The season-debut will be held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. 

A week later, the blue-and-gold will stay local, however, it will compete at the state-of-the-art Track at New Balance for the UMass Invite Saturday, Dec. 3.  

Suffolk is idle until Saturday, Jan. 14 when it returns to the Track for the Suffolk Ice Breaker Invitational. 

From there, the Rams trek to Plymouth, New Hampshire for the first of two Panther Invitationals Saturday, Jan. 21. Suffolk will return to the Bank of New Hampshire Field House at ALLWell North Saturday, Feb. 4.  

Prior to the Rams second venture to the Granite State, Suffolk is set to compete at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic Friday, Jan. 27, before battling at Tufts' Branwen Smith-King Invitational.  

Rams will vie for New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships status Feb. 3-4 at the Reggie Lewis Center. That same weekend Suffolk will send athletes to BU's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite as well Plymouth State. 

Action see-saws between championship and postseason prep the rest of the way. First, the Frozen 8 Championship is on tap Sunday, Feb. 12 at the Track at New Balance.  

From there, the Rams take their talents to Norton, Massachusetts, for the Wheaton Pre-Post Season Invitational Saturday, Feb. 18. 

The New England Division III Regionals are scheduled for Feb. 24-25 at a to be determined location with the Tufts National Qualifier, the last chance to punch a ticket to the 2023 NCAA Division III Championships, which is on the March 10-11 docket in Birmingham, Alabama, on the schedule for Saturday, March 4.
