Csiki-Fejer Runs into Record Books at BU Last Chance Meet

BOSTON – A last minute entry to the Boston University Last Chance Meet, Suffolk men's indoor track & field senior captain Matyas Csiki-Fejer made the most of his last non-championship meet as he sealed an all-time top-five time in the 3k.

A Manchester, Missouri, native, Csiki-Fejer clocked an 8:09.37, in the 3000. Although it was good for 18th in the field of 35 Sunday, which featured competitors from every NCAA Division, it marked the fifth-best time, all-time in the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

That time currently sits fourth this season in the nation. The top 22 participants at the end of the week will earn a berth to the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championships March 11-12 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Csiki-Fejer awaits the official release of the championship field that will take place Sunday, March 6.
