BOSTON – Suffolk men's tennis travels to Roger Williams Saturday, April 13. The Commonwealth Coast Conference match is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.

Suffolk men's tennis was tripped up by Wentworth as the Leopards captured the Commonwealth Coast Conference contest 8-1 Tuesday night at the DuPont Tennis Courts on the campus of MIT.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk sits 1-5 on the season with its lone win coming in sweeping fashion at Curry April 8.  

Nicholas Komari has played every match as the Rams ace. The freshman is 3-3 on the year to be the most victorious blue-and-gold racket in singles play. Mehdi Mered sports a 2-3 ledger in the second slot, while Sam Kluger (2-2) and Matthew Gallego (2-4) have two wins apiece as well. Kluger has split time at second and third, while Gallego has competed at No. 4 and No. 5. 

In doubles action, the twosome of Gallego and Komari are the only pair to own a win. The senior and rookie partnership is 1-2 as Suffolk's top tandem.  

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HAWKS
Roger Williams has strung together six straight victories to hold a 10-3 overall record and 3-0 CCC mark. 

Ryan Carroll has the played the bulk of time as the Hawks ace and holds a 10-3 singles record. Konnor Collins is also 10-3 in singles play, exclusively in the fourth singles slot. Camden Poitras is unbeaten in singles action at 10-3 on court three. 

The top tandem of Carroll and Will Hurlbut are 8-2 to anchor RWU in doubles play. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • The Suffolk, Roger Williams series began in 2022. 
  • The Rams are 0-2 all-time against the Hawks. 
  • Both meetings between Suffolk and RWU have been decided via 9-0 decisions. 

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
The Rams head to Eastern Nazarene Tuesday, April 16 for a make-up match with the Lions. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m.
