Esrawi Returns as Men’s Tennis Captain

BOSTON – For the third consecutive campaign, Suffolk men's tennis will be led by captain Hasan Esrawi, head coach Scott Blanchard unveiled. 

"Looking forward to Hass returning this year as captain, "Blanchard said. "We are looking for him to lead this very young group to our best finish ever."

Esrawi earned the leadership role in 2022 and is back at the post for his third year in a row. Last season, the Braintree, Massachusetts native guided the blue-and-gold to the Commonwealth Coast Conference postseason for the first time in program history. He played exclusively on the third singles court and on the top tandem.   

Off the court, the student-athlete working towards his pre-med degree, has excelled in the class with as the program's first ever College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honor in 2022-23 to go along with three ITA Scholar-Athlete awards along with numerous all-conference academic accolades. 

Esrawi holds the most experience racket on an 12-player roster that features six newcomers and six returners.  

Suffolk's 2024 schedule is set to get underway Saturday, March 16 at Rhode Island College at 1:00 p.m.
