BOSTON – The Suffolk men's tennis team hits the road for the final time this season when it travels to Dudley, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, April 19 for a 3:00 p.m. first serve with Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Nichols at Robinson Tennis Courts.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's tennis fell to Gordon, 7-2, Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Brigham Athletic Complex.

RAMS RUNDOWN
With two matches remaining on the slate, the Rams (1-8, 1-5 CCC) look to Ben Bricker (4-3) to continue his winning ways in singles play. He has played on the fifth and sixth spot.  

The tandem of Bricker and Haik Semerdjian sit at 2-4 on court three, garnering the most wins in doubles play for the squad.

BROWSING THE BISON 
Nichols sits at 11-5 overall, and a perfect 5-0 in CCC play, with action spanning back to September. The Bison ride a three-match win streak into Tuesday's tilt that was capped off by a 9-0 shutout of Wentworth Saturday. 

Giacomo Ghitti serves as the top singles player and has compiled a record of 7-5 on the season from the first court. Jose Siles, who has seen time at courts No. 1, 3, and 6 has an unbeaten record of 5-0 thus far. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • The Suffolk, Nichols series renews this season as the teams meet for the 15th time overall, and first since March 25, 2003. 
  • Suffolk trails the all-time series, which dates back to 1969, with the Bison, 4-10. 
  • The Rams have fallen in five straight matches against Nichols. 
  • Suffolk aims for its first win over the Bison since a 7-2 decision April 29, 1995. 
  • In Dudley, Massachusetts, Suffolk is 2-7 versus Nichols. 
  • There have been three shutouts in the series, all belong to the Bison. The last came April 2, 1987.
