Men’s Tennis Selected Eighth in CCC Coaches’ Preseason Poll

BOSTON – Suffolk men's tennis appeared eighth in its first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Preseason Poll after vote by the league's nine head coaches, the conference office announced Wednesday.

The blue-and-gold earned 23 points to take the eighth spot and finish ahead of Curry (16) and just one point behind Salve Regina's 24.

Defending CCC Champ Roger Williams topped the poll with 76 points and five first-place picks with Nichols, a usual conference contender, collecting the other four first-place votes to sit second in the poll with 74 points. Endicott rounds out the top three with 62 points.

Gordon (48), Wentworth (44) and Western New England (38) took spots four through six in that order.

Suffolk will pick up its racquets after two seasons away. The Rams will be under new direction this season in interim head coach Scott Blanchard. He will rely on his returners highlighted by senior captain Hasan Esrawi to guide the team into their first CCC campaign that is set for a first serve Thursday, March 24 at Eastern Nazarene.
