Sorensen Selected United Soccer Coaches Second-Team All-Region

2023 United Soccer Coaches Division III All-Region Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Brady Sorensen of the Suffolk men's soccer team was named to the United Soccer coaches All-Region II second-team for the 2023 campaign, the national organization unveiled Tuesday morning.

Sorensen earned an all-region accolade for the second straight season and in his career. A year ago, he became the second-ever Ram to receive the recognition. With his second honor, Sorensen is the first-ever Suffolk men's soccer player to have multiple region distinctions on his resume in program history. All three all-region honors have come in the Bill Maddock era over the last three years.

The senior from Plymouth, Massachusetts was a crucial cog in one of the most successful seasons in Suffolk's history. The Rams received votes in the United Soccer Coaches national poll for the first time in program history, where the blue-and-gold stayed for three weeks and was a staple in the regional rankings since making the program debut Sept. 12. With Sorensen leading the way, Suffolk achieved double digit wins for the second time in as many years and reached the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinals for the second straight season and second time in program history.

Sorensen led the team's scoring unit with seven goals and 16 points. Six of his seven strikes came against CCC counterparts, while 14 of his 16 points were in league play. He topped both categories in the CCC en route to his third overall all-league recognition, first first-team nod.

Sorensen is one of 11 CCC student-athletes recognized by United Soccer Coaches on the all-region squads with players from Curry (1), Endicott (3), Gordon (2), Roger Williams (3) and Western New England (1) garnering the distinction as well.
