EAST BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer and Nichols each potted a goal in the first half and neither was able to break open the tie in the second for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest to end in a 1-1 draw Saturday at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Bison's keeper Franco Barreto Santana was caught off guard four minutes into the action. Tommy Handelsman's placed a throw in perfectly for Brady Sorensen to head the ball home. The rock tumbled backwards off Suffolk's seniors head and flew past Berreto Santana to give the Rams a 1-0 edge early.

A good penalty kick by William Pugliese-Savage with 15 minutes remaining in the first frame leveled the playing field at 1-all.

Despite Suffolk controlling the second stanza, outshooting the Bison, 11-1, Berreto Santana preserved the stalemate for the Nichols as he stopped all of the Rams six shots on target in the second half.
