Pierantozzi’s Hat Trick Pushes Men’s Soccer to 4-1 Win at Endicott

BEVERLY, Mass. – Diego Pierantozzi became the Ram to net a hat trick in six seasons to propel Suffolk men's soccer to a 4-1 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) victory over Endicott Saturday at Hempstead Stadium.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 4 | Endicott 1
RECORDS: Suffolk (5-2-1, 2-0-0 CCC) | Endicott (2-5-1, 0-2-0 CCC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pierantozzi started the scoring 26:24 into the action. The freshman put away a deflection off a Gulls defender to put the Rams on the board.

Six minutes later, Pierantozzi struck again with no help to double the distance and the 2-0 margin held at half time.

Off a free kick in the 57th minute, Pierantozzi headed the ball home to extend the edge to 3-0 Suffolk. Miguel Varela took the free kick to set up the score.

Jason Brodeur broke up Suffolk's shutout bid at the 60:02 mark when he headed home a quick flick-on in between three defenders at the doorstep.

Lucca Giammattei restored the three-goal cushion with just over five minutes remaining in regulation. Suffolk's corner kick was deflected by Endicott defenders, luckily for Suffolk, Giammattei was there to pick up the pieces and tucked the rock away for the final 4-1 margin.
