BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer ventures to Biddeford, Maine, Tuesday, Oct. 12 to tangle with the University of New England. The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) clash is set to commence at 4 p.m.

SUFFOLK ATHLETICS 2021-22 FAN POLICY
Suffolk University Athletics, following guidance from the University's health and safety protocols, Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Centers for Disease Control and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, plans to allow fans to attend home athletic contests during the 2021-22 academic and athletic year.

Fans, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, can attend games. They must be masked the entire time they are on campus, pursuant to institutional policy, and complete a health screening form at the security desk of each building upon arrival. This policy applies to home contests played on campus at the Ridgeway Building's Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, as well as the Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink and the Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

For outdoor outings, specifically at East Boston Memorial Park, fans are asked to respect COVID safety protocols. At this time, masks will not be mandated for fans no matter vaccinated status at outdoor venues.

#RAMSFANFEST
After a year hiatus, Suffolk Athletics is excited to welcome back all members of Ram Nation to East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, Oct. 23 for Rams Fan Fest. 

The sixth event is part of Suffolk Weekend, which combines two annual celebrations – Alumni Weekend and Family Weekend. These events bring the entire University community together and allows members of the Suffolk community and their families to reconnect or get acclimated with Suffolk. LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's soccer returned to the friendly confines of East Boston Memorial Stadium and picked up a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) victory over Nichols, defeating the Bison by a score of 1-0 on Saturday evening. Nigel Leo's strike in the 65th minute was the difference maker for the Rams.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is one game above .500 (6-5-1) after sneaking by Nichols, 1-0, Saturday, Oct. 9. The one-goal shutout of the Bison leveled the Rams' CCC ledger at 2-2-0.  

Nigel Leo, who netted the game-winner against Nichols, has been a consistent contributor to the blue-and-gold's 19-goal offense. The graduate student leads the way in both points (13) and goals (6). Sophomore Brady Sorensen and freshman Miguel Varela are right behind Leo with nine points apiece with identical stat lines of four markers and one set-up. 

The Rams cycle through three different keepers. Xander Balog (1.66 GAA, .667 save%) has seen the most action with six appearances and five starts, while Alfredo Serrano Figueroa (4 GP, 0.87 GAA, 750 save %) and Tom Bennett (3GP, 1.47 GAA, .667 save %) have taken the field on multiple occasions as well. 

NOR'EASTERS NOTES
UNE won its first game of the season of the season, but has not been able to find the win column since to hold a 1-10-1 record and 0-4-0 CCC mark. 

The Nor'Easters have found the back of the net just four times this year. Alex Woodworth has had a hand in 75 percent (3-4) of those strikes. The sophomore midfielder scored two goals himself and set-up one other. Matthew McLeod and Will Smith are responsible for the other two tallies.  

Four different student-athletes have defended the goal for the University of New England. Triston O'Hagan has the most action under his belt. He holds the best numbers as well with a 2.86 GAA and 0.735 save percentage. Overall, the four-headed keeper contingent has given up 39 goals to 12 different opponents.
