SUFFOLK ATHLETICS 2021-22 FAN POLICY
Suffolk University Athletics, following guidance from the University's health and safety protocols, Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Centers for Disease Control and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, plans to allow fans to attend home athletic contests during the 2021-22 academic and athletic year.

Fans, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, can attend games. They must be masked the entire time they are on campus, pursuant to institutional policy, and complete a health screening form at the security desk of each building upon arrival. This policy applies to home contests played on campus at the Ridgeway Building's Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, as well as the Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink and the Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

For outdoor outings, specifically at East Boston Memorial Park, fans are asked to respect COVID safety protocols. At this time, masks will not be mandated for fans no matter vaccinated status at outdoor venues.

LAST TIME OUT
Blocks away from Suffolk University's College Series at Fenway Park where the Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays were in a pitcher's duel, men's soccer and Emmanuel had an offensive outburst at Clemente Field Wednesday night. The Rams fell on the wrong side of a 4-3 decision to slip in its road debut in the Bill Maddock era.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has traded wins with losses to bring a 2-2-0 mark to MIT.

Both of the Rams' losses were decided by a one-goal margin, however, as the blue-and-gold's offensive output has been firing on all cylinders this year with 13 goals through four games. Edward Abouzeid and Nigel Leo have been critical ingredients to the scoring as the freshman and graduated student have contributed at least one point in every outing this year. Abouzeid has a knack for setting-up scorers with seven assists, while Leo's team-best nine-point stat line features four goals and one handout.

Brady Sorensen (2g, 1a) and Erik Van Even (2g) ride a two-game point streak into Saturday as well, while Miguel Varela's collegiate career started out red out with three goals in the first two outings.

Xander Balog has spent the bulk of time in between the pipes. In three games he has compiled a 2.64 GAA and a .619 save percentage. Alfredo Serrano Figueroa secured a shutout in his lone appearance.

GET TO KNOW THE ENGINEERS
MIT shutout Lesley (7-0) and Emmanuel (3-0) to start the year and fell in overtime to Tufts (1-0) in its last outing to hold a 2-1-0 mark.

Will Seipe, Hendrik Mayer and Peter Novoa are responsible for six of the Engineers' 10 goals as the trio scored two markers apiece, while Nathan Gutvedt holds a team-high two helpers.

Paarth Desai has played the most time in net for MIT. He has built a 1-1-0 record with a 0.48 GAA and a .857 save percentage. Lucas Hanson-Puffer and Zak Zhang have each played a half in net for the Engineers as well. Both hold unblemished stat lines.
