BOSTON – The Suffolk men's cross country team cross the city Saturday (Oct. 7) to battle GNAC and Boston foe Emmanuel. Game time at Roberto Clemente Field is set for 12 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk put together a 3-1 win at Anna Maria Wednesday night as Matt Campos, James Fisher and Christian Restrepo all recorded one goal apiece.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk leveled its overall record to 5-5 with the 3-1 win at Anna Maria and improved to 2-4 against league foes with its victory in Paxton, Massachusetts. 

Christian Restrepo is the lone Ram in double digits points as the sophomore leads the way with six goals and one assist. Classmates James Fisher and Felipe Ucros sit second on the squad. Fisher has four markers and one dime, while Ucros owns three tallies and three handouts.

Jon Brodeur and Kyle Van Cleef  have split time in net for the Rams. Brodeur owns a 3-1-0 record in three starts and five appearances. The sophomore owns a 1.05 goals against average and a .733 save percentage. Van Cleef, meanwhile, is 2-4-0 on the season with a 2.27 goals against average and a .754 save percentage.

SAINTS SAYINGS
Since defeated Lasell, 3-1, Sept. 19, Emmanuel has traded ties with setbacks to carry a 1-5-5 overall mark and 1-1-3 league ledger into Saturday's showdown.

Justin Wentworth leads the Saints offensively. The freshman forward has tallied three goals and one handout for seven points. Cameron Messier (1-3-5) and William Burdick (2-0-4) have contributed to the offensive effort as well. 

Jonathan Ferrarini has defended the pipes for Emmanuel with the sophomore boasting a 1.68 goals against average and a .800 save percentage.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Since 2002, Suffolk is 11-4-0 versus Emmanuel.
  • Two contests needed extra time to determine a winner with Suffolk winning both such meetings, a 1-0 decision in 2016 and a 2-1 victory in 2007.
  • Four games were shutouts in the all-time series. Suffolk owns three of those victories.
