Men's Soccer Duo Earn All-Conference Honors By GNAC

Seniors Ben Rollins (Lee, N.H.) and Nick DiCicco (Wethersfield, Conn.) were selected to the 2012 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference teams for Men's Soccer.

Rollins earned second-team honors at forward, while DiCicco was a third-team selection as a midfielder.

It is the second time in a week that Rollins earned recognition as he was a Capital One Academic All-District first team selection as well as voted by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The senior forward registered team highs in 2012 in points (23), goals (8) and assists (7) as he started all 18 games on the year for the Rams. His 23 points were the fourth most among playersin the GNAC while both his eight goals and seven assists are tied for fifth among conference scorers. The Suffolk offense is currently ranked 45th among all NCAA Division-III programs in the nation with a 2.5 goals per game average, while they are 42nd in total goals with 45. Rollins finishes a four-year career at Suffolk in which he appeared in 51 games for the Rams scoring a total of 21 career goals with 16 assists for 58 points. He was named Most Valuable Player of the 2010 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament as he helped guide the Rams to their first ever conference championship and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Rollins had two goals and an assist in the three-game playoff run for the Rams. He is also the first player in program history to earn recognition by CoSIDA in being selected to an Academic All-District team.

DiCicco appeared in 13 games in 2012 for Suffolk as he tallied two goals and an assist for five points. He finishes a three-year career with the Rams in which he scored eight goals and added six assists in 46 games played for a total of 22 points. Three of DiCicco's eight career goals came as game-winners. Perhaps the biggest goal of his career came on November 2, 2010 as he scored the second goal in a 2-1 decision over Lasell College in the GNAC semifinals that helped propel Suffolk to later go on and claim the conference championship. During his sophomore campaign in 2010, DiCicco scored six goals and had three assists as he was also a third-team All-Conference selection in that season, and was also named to the GNAC All-Tournament team as well.
