Ben Rollins Named GNAC Player of the Week

Sophomore Ben Rollins (Lee, N.H.) was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for Men’s Soccer on October 24. Rollins scored the game-winner in the Rams 2-1 victory over St. Joseph's (Me.) on Wednesday afternoon. Rollins also scored Suffolk's lone goal in a 2-1 overtime loss at Norwich.

Since returning from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for most of the season, Rollins has scored four goals, registering 10 points in the Rams’ last three games. On the season Rollins has scored six goals and registered 15 points in seven games. Two of his six goals have been game-winners as the Rams are 4-3 with him in the lineup.

Suffolk finished the 2010 regular season with a 8-7-1 record going 5-3-1 in GNAC games. The fourth-seeded Rams will host Emerson College on Saturday October 30 in the Quarterfinals of the GNAC playoffs. The game will start at 5:30pm at Dilboy Stadium in Somerville.
