Danny Lloyd Named ECAC Player of the Week

Junior Danny Lloyd (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) was named Men’s Soccer Player of the Week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on October 19 for the Division-III New England Region. Lloyd’s strong offensive week helped his Rams to two Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) wins. Early in the week at Emerson, the junior midfielder had three goals in a five-goal second half Suffolk rally on its way to a 6-4 victory. He then went on to score three more times, and added an assist, all off the bench in the Rams’ 9-2 win over Rivier. He ended the week with six goals and three assists.

For his efforts, Lloyd also earned GNAC Player of the Week honors. The 2009 GNAC Player of the Year currently leads the Rams with 22 points (9 goals, 4 assists). His nine goals are currently third most in the GNAC, while he is second in points per game (2.20). Lloyd has also been the most active shooter in the GNAC averaging 4.90 shots per game.
