BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey concludes the regular season schedule Friday, Feb. 16 when it visits No. 9 Curry for a 7:00 p.m. Commonwealth Coast Conference contest.

Suffolk men's hockey fell to Endicott, 4-2, Saturday after Raymond J. Bourque Arena in CCC play.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has fallen in three straight to move to 5-17-2 on the year and 4-12-1 in CCC action.  

Devin Lowe is on the verge of hitting the 20-point plateau. The graduate student tops the team in points (19) and assists (15) and has found the back of the net four times. Nick Liotino (4g, 7a) and Joe O'Brien (2g, 8a) sit second and third on the squad in points with 11 and 10, respectively. Ryan Webb has scored a team-best seven strikes.  

CJ Hapwell has been the blue-and-gold's goaltender through the second semester. In 11 games played, all starts, he has assembled a 2.64 GAA and .926 save percentage. 

COLONELS CATCHUP
Curry has not lost since Jan. 2, 2024, a 4-3 overtime outing versus Amherst. Thanks to its 11 wins in a row, the Colonels, who are ranked ninth in the latest USCHO.com Coaches Poll, has already locked up the top seed in the CCC standings with a 19-4-1 overall record and a 14-3 league ledger.  

The trio of Gage Dill (10g, 16a), Eelis Laaksonen (11g, 14a) and Tao Ishizuka (9g, 12a) power the Colonels' 81-goal offense. 

Shane Soderwall is the backbone to Curry's defense. In over 17 games played, 15 starts, he has assembled a 13.6 GAA and .952 save percentage. 

WE MEET AGAIN
Then-No. 15 Curry swept Suffolk men's hockey Nov. 10-11. The Colonels outscored the Rams 9-2 in the two-game series that featured a 5-2 Rams setback and a 4-0 shutout the next night.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Since the 1999-2000 season, Suffolk trails the all-time series with Curry, 5-34-3. 
  • Suffolk looks to snap an eight-game skid versus the Colonels and defeat Curry for the first time since a 3-2 decision Nov. 14, 2015. 
  • On the road, Suffolk owns a 2-20-1 record against the Colonels. 
  • At home, the Rams are 3-13-2 versus Curry. 
  • Suffolk and Curry have gone into overtime five times.
